Bead Annealers, Fusing & Slumping, and Custom kilns
As I stated in a previous thread in my vendor forum, I am now selling Jen-Ken kilns.
I've had a lot of inquires on low-cost Bead Annealers and also Fusing/Slumping kilns.
These bead annealers can easily anneal either soft or borosilicate glass, using their
built-in digital controllers. The fusing/slumping models go to 1700 degrees. All models
include fire brick 'feet' to elevate the kiln off of its resting surface, protecting it
from direct kiln heat.
The models that I recommend are the following:
Jen-Ken Bead Box - this is a 6" square x 4.5" deep (inside dimensions) kiln
specifically made for the bead artist. It has a front facing bead door, to make it
convienent to put the bead/mandrel in. This kiln is built with Insulating Fire Brick, and
therefore, holds heat very well. It can be ordered with one of two different digital
controllers, either the Orton 3 button or the Bartlett 3 button. This kiln retails for
$529 USD but our everyday price is $449 USD. Click here to look at the brochure page that
describes this kiln. I would recommend printing it out so you can study and compare its
features with other kilns.
Jen-Ken Bead Annealer - this is a 11" x 4.5" (inside dimensions) 6-sided kiln
also specifically made for the bead artist. It has a side/diagonally facing bead door, to
make it convienent to put the bead/mandrel in. This kiln is built with Insulating Fire
Brick, and therefore, holds heat very well. It can be ordered with a number of different
digital controller options but the most popular are the Orton 3 button and the Bartlett 3
button. This kiln retails for $550 USD but our everyday price is $469 USD. Click here to
look at the brochure page that describes this kiln. I would recommend printing it out so
you can study and compare its features with other kilns.
Jen-Ken Fusing & Slumping kiln - this is a 11" x 4.5" (inside dimensions)
6-sided kiln specifically made for the warm glass artist. This kiln is built with
Insulating Fire Brick, and therefore, holds heat very well. Included with this kiln is a
10" diameter kiln shelf, kiln posts, and dry-mix kiln wash. It can be ordered in
three different inside heights (4.5", 6", and 9") with a number of
different digital controller options. The most popular controllers are the Orton 3 button
and the Bartlett 3 button. The 4.5" deep version of this is kiln retails for $540 USD
but our everyday price is $449 USD. Click here for the brochure page of this kiln,
pictured on the RIGHT side is the 6" deep version of this kiln. I would recommend
printing it out so you can study and compare its features with other kilns.
Jen-Ken Jewelry Fusing kiln - same as above except that it has the pyrometer/analog
controller. This type controller works well for a fusing-only kiln. Being that the kiln is
built with Insulating Fire Brick, it cools slowly enough to anneal small fused items. It
retails for $365 USD and my price is $310 USD. Click here for the brochure page of this
kiln, pictured on the LEFT side. This price INCLUDES the accessory kit, which is a
10" shelf, shelf posts, and kiln wash. As with ANY kiln with a pyrometer and analog
controller, it is not recommended for use as a bead annealer.
For a quote on the shipping charges, send me an email( billbrach@hotmail.com )with 'Kiln'

Custom kilns: Because I work closely with the factory, I can order kilns with special
configurations such as extra height, or wired for European 240 V operation, etc. Again,
just email me with your special requirements.
Additionally, if you are a ceramic artist, I can provide ANY Jen-Ken model kiln at a
significant savings off of list price.
